Innovative project for the use of recycled materials in conveyor belts

The industry indubitably finds itself on the eve of major upheaval. Carbon emissions must be reduced. Increased sustainability and the reuse of products must eventually result in a circular economy. This economy spares the climate, our environment and our planet’s scarce natural resources. Jonge Poerink Conveyors aims to actively contribute to this goal. This is done with its innovative development of a conveyor belt made partly from recycled materials.

Over the course of more than ninety years, Jonge Poerink Conveyors has grown into an internationally renowned specialist in smart internal conveyor systems for myriad industrial applications. Although we are proud of our tradition and our company’s rich history, we are explicitly focused on the future. We not only aim to make sustainable progress ourselves, but also seek to actively support our clients with their transition toward more climate-friendly production.

Smart modifications and new developments

The reuse of recycled materials is paramount. With the help of smart modifications and new developments, we have succeeded in using recycled plastic for our conveyor belts. This represents a major step toward greater sustainability and reduced carbon emissions! It goes without saying that the renowned quality of our products remains unaffected. With this innovation, we once more put our company’s core tenets of high quality and innovative drive into practice.

Win-win situation

Yet Jonge Poerink Conveyors’ sustainable initiative goes even further: we are collaborating with other companies to explore the possibility of recycling used conveyor belts. Clients can return old conveyor belts, materials are reused where possible and large volumes of plastic are kept out of landfills. We call that a win-win situation; for us and for future generations.
